In late 2008 I was approached by
The Kulucci March to help with mastering and arrangement ideas for there initial studio demos. This expanded into adding extra musical elements introduced to chorus and verse sections. These initial demos updated and mastered were places on the bands
myspace page.
In early 2009 I stood in with some studio rehearsals to listen to the new works in progress and get a feel for the new material to see what could be added or changed.
Also within this time the boys setup a self promoted night "
Boys On Film" with local bands featuring
The Alfonz, and
Jon Trowbridge Band to name but a few. I was brought into the night to engineer the gig and also help set things up to record the audio live, plus video of the night was captured in order to create video footage of the bands for online use and promotion.
The end results have been uploaded for viewing at the Kulucci March
Youtube page with 2 songs from their set
(credits of who were involved that night can be read in the details section - a big thanks to all). I also took some time to capture many studio shots and live stills for promotion, all can be viewed on their site and also in the
web design section.
After the event the boys went back into rehearse new material ready for professional recording at
Sonic One studios. Those sessions were tripped down to 3 of the strongest tracks and I was brought in a gain to help arrangement tweaks and changes. Changes were sequence arrangements, some post production with percussion additions, strings, violin, hammond organ and synth sections in certain areas.
The final tracks from the studio session were
Lonely Man,
Small Town Run Around &
Pressure. One of which got its first radio play on
BBC Introducing in July 2009 -

Finally we transferred some of the arrangement additions and musical elements to be used for the band for live use on stage.
A big thanks to the people I worked with and met throughout this time and the hard work put in by the lads themselves. Good luck in the future, they certainly deserve it.
