I was asked on behalf of Mediaflow to create specific music sections for the TMF Star Dancer interactive DVD. Vibrant dance music for a younger audience was required to fit with the theme.
The title music was set to sync with an intro video sequence, with additional background loops created for sub menu sections.
Finally synced effects were created to fit certain scoreboard animation elements throughout the DVD, with audio queues reflecting the different winning outcomes and points awarded to the player.
You can listen to all three examples in the player.
A Playstation DVD demonstration had been commissioned to Zeros Media for the forthcoming (at the time) Playstation 2 DVD magazine. I was approached to supply music for the menu and intro sequence.
The music had to fit the ambience of the menu animation and subtle enough to avoid shifting focus away from on screen information visible throughout the sequence.
It was created in a more loop-based structure to be flexible and easily cut for various areas of the demo.
The full music sequence is available in the player.
After completion of my E.P One For The True Skool (see audio/albums section for more) I wanted to compliment the release with a short promo video.
The E.P is a dedication to early House, Acid, Warehouse scene. I wanted to capture the times with old footage from various early warehouse / raves in the late 80's. I also used certain filters and tinting to get that old VHS and selected certain footage moments to best represent each track featured in the soundtrack for the video.
All audio was mixed and edited as highlights, with additional live recording sections from early raves. The visual elements were then key framed from the audio track.
After completion of my album Various:Works - Volume One (see audio/albums section for more) I put together a short trailer style video to show track examples to be used for promotion on various online video sites.
I initially created a collage of selected audio tracks that best represented the albums collection of styles. I selected footage and imagery/color that visually matched the speed and style of music using allot of key framing to set the pace and flow of the video.
I created another short trailer for This Era remix (see audio/remix section for more) to be used for more promotion to be placed on certain video stream sites.
The lyrical content and subject matter of the track refers to Anunnaki / Alien / Hybrid / Planet X and other alternate world ideas. I created a synced audio sequence to match the titles and key framing movement using space / planets and took some influence from 80's horror video theme to maintain the darker elements to the track.
A collaboration project with Spiral Site's online DJ/Music magazine 'Urban Futures' required initial web site layout and logo design.
This example shows the final logo design which I extended into a 3d animated Ident to be used with interviews and other video footage for the web site. Originaly the ident didnt require audio, so I have added audio sync effects with the animated elements for the puprose of this website example.
Although I am no longer involved in that project I have uploaded the original Ident to give an example of both the audio design and animation.
