HISTORY

I have been learning and creating music since my first purchase of professional equipment back in 1992.

All my musical influences have come from the very early days of listening to Hip Hop, getting caught up in the U.K Rave music scene, being turned onto Masters At Work and the Murk labels sound (to name but a few) from a natural progression out of rave to the dance / house scene in 93/94. I was also lucky enough to witness Drum & Bass form in the clubs from its early break beat days to Steppa, Bukem / speed era and beyond.

I have been a big fan of film soundtracks which has lead me to become a firm listener of Classical music and certain Classical composers, while digging back to the original productions of Jazz/Funk/Latin after coming full circle through my original Hip Hop & Breakbeat references. This has helped me keep a very open view to what I have wanted to create musically, and a completely open mind to all the forms in both music and media work.

My production work has ranged from creating early soundtrack projects as ‘Creative Minds’, releasing a drum & bass E.P 'Jeremiah Project' which won and featured on BBC’s 1Xtra Bass CD, to collaboration work with Hip Hop collective Creative Control. This included a single track vinyl release of ‘Brave Free’ and ‘Metro Era’ as well as mastering and additional production on various tracks and E.P's. I have also worked with DJ Para with single tracks featured on his own CD releases with on going collaborations with Para and also Relent for future releases in 2008.

This work has also lead to Mastering of various CD projects for Creative Control, DJ Para mix CD’s and albums, Slomo albums and of course my own work.

RECENT PROJECTS

I decided to focus on a personal album project aimed at covering many aspects of music I have listened to and attempted to create over the years. After laying low and working hard to compile a collection of tracks the end result is 'Various:Works – Volume One' which is available to listen to and download from 7digital in the music section.

Early plays of certain Drum & Bass tracks have had a good reception being aired on BBC’s 1Xtra’s Bailey & DJ Flight shows, with good feedback from test upload at certain forums. For more information and updates on this keep an eye on the news & music music sections of the site.

EMPLOYERS / COMMERCIAL WORK

I have also worked with various individuals such as Beatbully's helping level and master live set audio and the new album, plus mixdown / mastering of the track to "Keyz To Life" ready for Channel 4's Hollyoaks appearance later this year. Plus an assortment of commercial and private projects combining audio clips & loops for video.

This has also extended into logo animations, designs, website and flash design work. Examples of all these areas with full descriptions can be found in the employers employers section of this site from the main menu.

THE FUTURE

For the future I am looking at more collaborations, remix & media work, and to continue exploring different ideas and styles with my own Various Works and E.P projects.
